Ioulia is currently studying towards her PhD in Anthropology at Emory University in Atlanta, USA, where she earned her MA in the topic. She also holds an MSc Development Studies, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She has been fortunate to live and work in the UK, Australia, Bolivia, Thailand and Guatemala and has travelled to over 30 countries. She is currently carrying out her ethnographic fieldwork on the agroecological movement in Guatemala. As a budding anthropologist, she is particularly interested in cultural issues of food and agriculture in developing countries.
